The Genesis Alert oil detection buoy(s) upon detection of a change of condition, (a presence of oil or hydrocarbons on the sensors), will transmit a data signal with identifier indicating the presence of the spill.

Upon this detection of oil it will release the small spherical shaped tracker buoy to float or drift with the spill and report its GPS position and identify itself while indicating the presence or absence of oil. The Genesis Alert new technology sensors are self purging and continue to report the oil spill status.

Combination of buoy types allow coverage that will provide complete knowledge of any spill, it's size and location in any ocean, bay, harbor, river, lake or body of water in the world.
